With ‘’Arapapisti Canyon Ecotourism Project’’. By means of this Project, the long-forgotten Arapapisti Canyon is going to be introduced to the World.
Arapapisti Canyon, which was formed by years of erosive activity of Akçay (lit. White creek) River that supplies water to Kemer Dam, offers us a unique nature with its height of 380 m and length 6 km.
Originating at the intersection point of Aydin, Muğla and Denizli city borders,
Arapapisti Canyon meanders in the form of canals that at some places get as narrow as 12 m. Aside from embodying natural formations, with its city ruins hailing from ancient time, it is also a rare area where history and nature meet.
